Hiya! It’s almost 11 P.M. which is quite fitting for today’s theme of the 30-Animated Days Challenge. When I was choosing the questions for the challenge, I wanted to throw in a couple of “random” questions. Today’s question was definitely one I remember choosing as a random question for the challenge. The theme for Day 4 is: Do you make wishes at 11:11?
So you know the myth, when your clock strikes 11:11 make a wish! (If you didn’t, now you know!) Supposedly 11 is a significant number in numerology. Being doubled would supposedly be good luck, so people make wishes at 11:11. What’s funny is there is no real origin of this myth. It has pretty much just been passed down through word of mouth.
My answer is yes, if I randomly see it’s a 11:11, for kicks I’ll make a little wish. Also if I’m with friends and randomly one shouts “It’s 11:11!” we’ll have fun with it and make wishes. Which is exactly why I do it, for fun. I don’t really think it makes a difference between wishing at 11:11, 1:11, or 11:12. However, whether you believe it or not, it’s still fun to take part in the little tradition. I mean heck, it doesn’t hurt to try it XD. I rarely actually remember what I even wish for to be honest. It’s more to partake in the fun of the tradition. Again, most of the times one of my friends will randomly take notice it is 11:11 so we all just go along with it.
So since it’s about to turn 11:11 I’ll cut the post here. 😀 Whether you believe it or not, since we’re on the subject, my wish tonight will be the best in 2016 for whoever may be reading!
That’s all for this sketch! IT’S 11:11! MAKE A WISH! XD
I never thought about making wishes at 11.11
