Animated’s Top 10 Anime Females! (6-10)

2yearsofanimated

Hey Everyone!

Phew, it has been awhile! Sorry for the bit of absence, classes have been quite crazy! Any who…

It is that time of year again! Time to release my top 10 lists of anime females and males. I believe the last time I did a list was probably back around June of last year. Since so much time has passed since the last update, the list has definitely changed quite a bit. Like we always do, we let the 6-10 anime females kick start this series of posts!

This time around the female list was definitely a lot harder narrowing it down to just 10. I had a feeling I knew my top5-7, the order was more what was in question. However the 8-10spots were really tough to name. I basically had 10 characters for 3 spots. Unfortunately I had to leave off a few awesome characters, but I love the characters that will make up my top 10 list. So let’s get right into my Top 10 Anime Females Numbers 6-10!

10. Roka Shibasaki (D-Frag!)

The 10th spot is always the toughest for me! It’s when you’re making last arguments for a bunch of characters deserving of a spot on the list. I went back and forth quite a bit on this one. However, I did realize that my overall Top 10 was lacking something. You’ll probably catch on to the theme of most of these characters. I almost missed on one of the characteristics though I appreciate the most in a character, humor. Thus, Roka bumped her way from probably around 12ish to taking the 10th spot on my list. Roka always made me laugh with her silly humor in D-Frag! Roka kind of lives in her own little world. My favorite example of this is when she refers to herself as a ‘fire type’. You know, casually start a fire in school. (XD) Although Roka can be silly throughout the anime, she is a very caring character. Roka’s friends accept her being herself, and in return gain a valuable brave but caring friend. I see myself a bit in Roka in the sense that when I’m in group of people I’m very comfortable with I tend act out in my own little world. 🙂

9. Konno Yuuki (Sword Art Online II)(CONTAINS SPOILERS!)

Konno_Yuuki_3

This is the third time I end up posting my top 10 list. All three times, Yuuki has found her way onto the list. This quote always come to mind when I think of Yuuki’s story.

“You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live in.”

Now yes, I do understand that Yuuki was diagnosed as a carrier of the HIV virus and not cancer. Still I think the quotes apply to this as well. Yuuki’s story is a story of hope. That even someone with a terminal sickness can enjoy the wonders of life. Even when their physical body can’t do it for them. Yuuki is willing to live her live to the fullest even when she has such a horrible sickness. She never complains about her sickness. As a matter of fact, you don’t even realize she is sick till the end of the arc. Yuuki to me is that symbol of not letting anything prevent you from living your life to the absolute fullest.

8.Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)

Stubbornness with fierce determination can be a scary but strong combination. Although Ryuko’s stubbornness can reach levels over 9000, so can her confidence and determination. My top 10 list needed some knuckles and it’ll get plenty with Ryuko at number eight. I love that Ryuko never backs down from a fight even when clearly overpowered. As a matter of fact, she is fully confident in herself in these types of fights. Ryuko fears little and is driven by determination to avenge her father. Having that determination of nothing will get in your way till you’ve reached your goal is a characteristic I find truly remarkable. Even during the bleakest of times, that determination is never shaken rather rekindled. Although she dropped a bit from my previous list (and she’ll probably kick my butt for it) Ryuko is still one of my all-time favorites!

Animated Fun Fact: It is perfectly ok that when talking to someone and they say “your way” to follow by screaming “Don’t Lose Your Way” in song. (Trust me, I speak from plenty experience.) 😉

7. Megumi Tadokoro (Shokugeki no Souma)

Megumi’s story through Totsuki Culinary Academy is a mirror image of how engineering school has gone for me. Although she only falls in at number seven, I relate so much to her story. She struggles quite a lot at the beginning of the Academy making simple mistakes and easily being intimidated. Yup, definitely sounds like my first year of engineering! As you go on though you start to realize you don’t have to go through it alone and start quite an awesome comradeship with classmates. You feed off their motivation and they feed off your motivation. Then you start to realize, hey maybe I am fit to do this. Whenever Megumi goes through a tough time in the anime I find myself saying, “Yup, I know exactly how that feels.” Whenever Megumi overcomes herself and her challenges, I find myself saying, “Yup, I know exactly how that feels.” 🙂

6. Yuki Nagato (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)(MINOR SPOILERS)

humanyukinagato

You truly grow an appreciation for Nagato after watching the “Endless Eight” followed by watching “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.” ( Oh jeez, flashbacks to that time of struggling through the endless eight. -_-) Sure, Nagato is an entity created by the Data Overmind which limits her emotional and social abilities. It wasn’t till I watched “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” that the way I viewed Nagato as a character changed.  Nagato reminds me of the struggle of balancing making others happy with the cost of your own happiness. Despite her being an artificial human, you can sense she struggled with this balance. I loved that Nagato got quite a bit of time in the spotlight and in a way a “happy” ending in the movie. Nagato’s character reminds me that sometimes, you have to do what makes yourself happy.

Animated Fun Fact: For a long time Nagato was my anime crush!  XD

Looking back through these characters, it’s neat to see these characters are very much different from each other yet give their own unique message to this list. It is quite a unique list so far, and we’re only halfway through!

Next, the males 6-10 get their time in the spotlight! Stay tuned!

That’s all for this sketch!
